What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of providing support for people living with a disability. It’s a holistic approach – a major reform of disability services in Australia, designed to provide the right support according to each person’s needs and goals.
How do I know if I am eligible?
To become an NDIS participant you will need to meet the age, residency and disability or early intervention access requirements. In some States and Territories people currently receiving supports will be moving to the NDIS first.
To see if you meet the access requirements, use the NDIS Access Checklist on the website. (NDIS)
Once I have an NDIS Plan how can Global help me?
Everyone’s needs, preferences and aspirations are different . Help can range from assisting with just providing information and referral to supporting customers in many aspects of your individual plan.
If you are eligible for the NDIS we can help you to support your plan. Support can range from providing staff within many approved service categories. Your NDIS Plan is very specific in that you will have listed on your plan a number of categories that outline the range of supports you require.
Examples include
Assisting with daily personal living and assistance to access community social and recreation activities, etc.
