About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated care to our clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting individuals

 

This role involves implementing interim Behaviour Support Plans, following medication protocols, and providing consistent, person-centred support. You will assist with daily living tasks and help maintain a structured, safe, and positive environment that promotes the client’s wellbeing, stability, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, person-centred support in-home support in line with the client’s Individual Support Plan.
  • Safely support and monitor severe epilepsy, including seizure recognition, response, and post-seizure care in accordance with protocols.
  • Provide support for a dual diagnosis, recognising triggers and responding appropriately.
  • Accurately document incidents, seizures, behaviours, and daily progress notes

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
  • Proven experience supporting people with disabilities
  • You are confident in supporting clients with behaviours of concern and implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Patient, empathetic, and reliable with strong communication skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
