About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated care for a client who resides in Carlingford.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, including seizure management and emergency response, as well as experience managing behaviours of concern. Experience supporting clients with a dual diagnosis is essential.

This role involves implementing interim Behaviour Support Plans, following medication protocols, and providing consistent, person-centred support. You will assist with daily living tasks and help maintain a structured, safe, and positive environment that promotes the client’s wellbeing, stability, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent, person-centred support in-home support in line with the client’s Individual Support Plan.
Safely support and monitor severe epilepsy, including seizure recognition, response, and post-seizure care in accordance with protocols.
Provide support for a dual diagnosis, recognising triggers and responding appropriately.
Accurately document incidents, seizures, behaviours, and daily progress notes

Essential Requirements:

Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
Proven experience supporting people with Severe Epilepsy or similar complex needs.
You are confident in supporting clients with behaviours of concern and implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
Patient, empathetic, and reliable with strong communication skills.
Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
